Dr. Rumer is currently contracted (in par) for transgender surgery procedures (specific CPT Codes) with all Pennsylvania Medicaid MCOs (Managed Care Organizations).

Dr. Rumer is also an approved out-of-state Medicaid provider for the state of Connecticut.

How to Proceed With Medicaid

1. Your primary care provider writes a letter of medical necessity and requests a referral to Dr. Rumer.

2. If approved, Medicaid will send the referral along to Dr. Rumer and our office will contact you about your consultation date.

3. Dr. Rumer will request a medical release from your primary care provider, a letter of recommendation from a therapist, and prior authorization from Medicaid for surgery.
